In 2025 all GP Practices nationally are contractually required to adopt digital consultations to improve patient access to services. The Hadleigh Boxford Group Practice are introducing Anima, a secure and easy to use online system to help patients get the care they need more quickly and conveniently.
The surgery went live with the new system in January 2025
We recognise that change can feel unsettling, especially for those less familiar with technology. You will still have access to your practice by telephone or in person. We believe that as more patients use Anima it will reduce demand on the phone lines, making contact easier for all.
Do not worry if you do not have access to a computer or the internet, if you telephone the surgery a care navigator will complete the form on your behalf.
What is changing?
As of the 29th January, all requests for an urgent on the day appointment, a routine GP appointment, home visit or a mediation review should be submitted online using Anima.
All appointments for nurses and blood tests etc. can still be arranged over the telephone.
The team will start to triage appointments when the surgery opens. Online services will be available for you to submit your request from 4am however, requests will be triaged during surgery opening times.
